Please note we redesigned our eyelet fitting for superior performance. After working extensively with top competitive runners, we improved the eyelet fitting with a lower profile, sleeker design, and enhanced friction-free function. It installs the same as the original fitting. All orders received from this web site will be filled with our new and improved eyelet fitting. Enjoy Speedlaces!
- Remove old laces and choose six eyelet holes for installation of fittings. IMPORTANT: Start at the top and skip rows as you go downward.
- Insert screws through the eyelet holes from inside the shoe.
- Attach the eyelet fittings to the screws by turning clockwise. Tighten firmly with a screwdriver. IMPORTANT: Ears on eyelet fittings must point outward.
- Thread laces in criss-cross pattern as shown. Do not cut laces yet.
- Insert laces through cord-lock. NOTE: if cord-lock jams in open position, squeeze two small tabs.
- Insert laces through the two holes in the lace-pull. Using both strands, make one loop knot and slide knot into lace-pull. Do not cut laces yet.
- Try shoe on and off several times to make sure lace loop is long enough for easy entry but not long and sloppy.
- When you are sure that the length of the lace loop is ideal, cut excess lace above the knot. Pull knot into the lace-pull
- ADULTS ONLY: To prevent frayed ends, singe lace ends with a match. Always use extreme caution with a flame.
